Doodle Health - Healthy Teen Challenge

You can compete to win prize money for you and your school, simply by playing Doodle Health! The Healthy Teen Challenge aims to motivate teens' interest in physical activity and healthy eating, while playing an entertaining game. The contest is open from December 1, 2016 until December 31, 2016. Winners will be notified by email.

Who may enter?

Anyone may enter. For the school competition we are accepting entries from students of T.C. Williams: ( http://www.acps.k12.va.us/tcw/), from Philadelphia Ujima: ( http://philadelphiaujima.servauntgroup.com), and from Entheos Academy: ( http://www.entheosacademy.org).

What are the rules of the game?

Individual players of the Doodle Health game may choose "Draw" or "Guess", then select their level of difficulty: Easy, Medium, or Hard. Points may be earned by any combination of drawing and/or guessing health-related ideas. The harder the level of guessing or drawing, the more points you earn. There is partial credit for incorrect answers.

What are the prizes?

Gift cards will be awarded in two categories: High Scores and Best Drawings*.

At the end of the contest, the school with the highest number of participation points will win an additional $100 to support classroom activities.

High Scores Best Drawings School Award
1st place = $25 1st place = $25 $100 for the school with the greatest number of points total.
2nd place = $15 2nd place = $15
3rd place = $10 3rd place = $10

*For the Best Drawings category, submitted pictures will be judged:

  1. Quantitatively, based on the number of correct guesses from the other players (their ability to "read" or understand your drawing correctly).
  2. Qualitatively, based on aesthetic value (how the graphic design elements work together artistically to portray the health concepts).

The judges are researchers from the George Washington University Medical Informatics Center.
